I found this Instagram project through Daniel Palmer's article Corresponding Associations: the Poetics and Limits of Photography as Dialogue. David Campany and Anastasia Samoylova have a photographic dialogue, that is absolute free flow and does not follow any rules. When looking at the feed, they seem to keep their dialogue on a formal level: one of them posts a picture with a certain color and the other replies with a picture that contains the same color. Then maybe the other again replies with a photo of a shape found in the image before. As opposed to other correspondences, this one is most like a conversation: someone says something and the other replies but with an own, personal note and the first one replies to that and so on. I believe this project works very well but is again on the formal level. My approach is to have a conversation on the content level, which I believe will be a lot harder but hopefully more interesting. And interesting to see if that will work.
