ONLINE DOSSIER: VICTORIA SIEMER

I have followed Victoria Siemer for quite a few years now and like her different series. She is a visual artist, better known as Witchoria. She manages to make surreal images that invite to dream. This series Geometric Reflections, are landscape images with digital additions that seem like gigantic mirrors. Although this concept is rather simple, the different images are never boring. It is remarkable that the alteration of the images (“How did she do it?”) steps back, even though it is the dominant element of her pictures. I have one image in my series that arose from thinking of these images. Some of my photographs have a slight surreal feel to them, but unlike Siemer, I decided to not digitally manipulate my photos.
