WEEK 10: GROUP CRIT III

Jack: Your sense of lighting is visible in Michelle's and Matt's photographs. Nikola's are very different. Maybe it's possible to edit Nikola's to change the lighting and make them feel more like “your” images (claim them)?
Emily: Your usual style of photography is not in Nikola's images.
Karen: Nikola's images are very playful, it looks as if he had a lot of fun. But the aesthetic is not what your work usually has (not as precise) therefore might not fit into the series.
Alison: Combination of 1–2 of the floating photographs and 1 of the disposable camera (but smaller) – using scale to form a dialogue. Right now the disposable camera pictures are very colorful and therefore dominant (flash is very different from my other images). Maybe desaturate them a bit. But there is value in using images Nikola took as it is a project about his personality.
The fact that I cannot take the pictures with Nikola speaks to our times and if the resolution folds that into the presentation it would be an accepted part of the process (instead of erasing reality).
