The drawings are more interesting than the photographs.
Shadowing might be a topic to explore. The pictures now are all too safe. Add more humor/irony/disruption.
Charlotte Cotton »Photography is Magic« shows how others push boundaries in photography (rather experimental).
In the meantime I have the book and have to say that almost none of the images really speak to me. Most of them are screaming loud, very colorful and of an aesthetic that I don't find appealing. But the book has been very valuable as for the artists' statements. Some of those resonated a lot with my work or my general approach on photography.
The project is not going the way it’s supposed to, reading and taking constructed pictures takes far too long and the result is mediocre. Therefore my assignment: Just taking pictures that I don't have to show, that are unrelated to the project, just anything.
