The problem is that there are good reasons why designers do that: So that the audience is not distracted from the clothes and also that people can imagine themselves instead of the model.

Also, it seems Kanye West actually worked with very diverse models and only the color scheme is similar, yet cuts are very different. He seems to have pronounced each model's skin color and dressed them in matching clothes. Therefore, even if at first sight this might be a good example, it really is not.
